About ToolsHub
ToolsHub brings 30 free browser tools together for working with images, PDFs, code, text and everyday calculations. You do not need an account to use them.
Our Core Philosophy
Most web tool suites force users to upload their sensitive documents, proprietary source code, private photos, and personal spreadsheets to third-party remote servers. Once uploaded, users have no guarantee of how long files are retained, whether backups exist, or how data is logged.
ToolsHub operates entirely differently. Every operation on ToolsHub is executed locally inside your web browser using HTML5 Canvas, the Web Cryptography API, Web Workers, and modern JavaScript engines. Files and text supplied to the tools are not uploaded for processing. Hosting and optional external library requests can still share connection information; see the privacy policy.
Architectural Advantages
- Uncompromising Security & Privacy: No remote file storage, no server databases, and no tracking telemetry.
- Zero Upload Latency: Traditional tools make you wait for 100MB files to upload over the internet. ToolsHub processes files on your hardware, with speed determined by the input and device.
- Works Offline: Many tools continue to work after the page and its dependencies load. Navigation, uncached pages and externally loaded PDF dependencies may still need a connection.
- Lightweight & Modern: Built with semantic HTML5, pure CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. Zero bulky framework bloat.
Technical Specifications & Browser Limits
Because all computation takes place in your browser's sandboxed environment, processing capabilities are determined by your computer's RAM and browser memory allocation:
- Image Processing: Memory and canvas limits vary by browser and device. Start with smaller images; large dimensions can use substantial memory even when the compressed file is small.
- PDF Manipulation: Supported sizes depend on page count, image resolution, PDF features and available memory. Encrypted files may be unsupported. Test with a copy and inspect the downloaded result.
- Cryptography & Hashes: SHA digests use
window.crypto.subtle; MD5 has a local JavaScript implementation. Use HTTPS or localhost for browser features that require a secure context.
Open Source & Technology Stack
ToolsHub is crafted using modern web standards. We leverage battle-tested open-source libraries where appropriate, including:
- PDF-Lib (v1.17.1, MIT License) — In-browser PDF manipulation and page stream restructuring.
- Web Cryptography API (W3C Recommendation) — Secure hashing, token creation, and entropy generation.
- HTML5 Canvas API — High-performance image re-encoding, cropping, and pixel analysis.
Using results responsibly
Each tool includes a usage guide, an example and limitations. Keep original files, inspect exported documents and test processed code before using it. Calculators provide estimates; they do not replace advice from a qualified professional or the terms of a financial product.
Find the right tool or report a problem
Browse the image tools, PDF tools or code tools, read the browser and processing FAQ, or report a bug with the tool name and reproduction steps. Do not include confidential files or credentials in a report.
