📦 JSON Formatter, Validator & Minifier
Beautify messy JSON, detect syntax errors with line/column coordinates, sort object keys alphabetically, and minify payloads for production APIs.
Common JSON Syntax Pitfalls
- Trailing Commas: Unlike JavaScript objects, standard JSON does not allow trailing commas after the final element in an object or array.
- Single Quotes: All JSON keys and string values must be enclosed in double quotes (
"key": "value"), never single quotes. - Unquoted Keys: Object keys must always be double-quoted strings.
How to use JSON Formatter & Validator
Paste JSON, choose indentation and use Format / Beautify. Use Minify for compact output or Sort Keys to organize object properties.
What to check before using the result
Formatting requires valid JSON. Comments, single quotes and trailing commas are not part of standard JSON.
Example: Making a compact JSON object readable
Paste {"name":"ToolsHub","tools":30} and choose Format / Beautify to add indentation. Minify removes formatting whitespace; Sort Keys changes object-key order. Neither operation repairs invalid JSON or validates an application-specific schema.
