🛡️ JWT Decoder & Inspector
Decode and inspect JSON Web Tokens (JWT) locally. View token claims, signatures, and expiration status without exposing sensitive credentials to remote servers.
Why Decode JWTs Locally?
JSON Web Tokens frequently contain sensitive authentication credentials, private user scopes, and internal customer IDs. Third-party online decoders can log or store pasted bearer tokens on their servers, introducing security vulnerabilities. ToolsHub parses the token structure entirely within your browser client.
How to use JWT Decoder & Inspector
Paste a token to inspect its header and payload and review its expiration claims. Use sample data when learning the token structure.
What to check before using the result
Decoding does not verify the signature or prove a token is trustworthy. Never authorize access from decoded claims alone.
Example: Inspecting a token expiration claim
A numeric exp claim is a Unix time in seconds. An unexpired value does not prove that a token is signed correctly, issued by a trusted service or intended for your application. Validate signatures, issuer and audience in your authentication system.
